There are 2 methods to deliver GFC.
Most patients tolerate the procedure well. We also apply numbing cream or give local anaesthesia to numb the scalp for some time.
GFC preparation from blood collection to separation takes around 40 minutes. The injection process takes 5 minutes followed by LLLT (Low Level Laser Therapy) for 10 mins. This amounts to a total 1 hour per visit.
Yes, this is just an office procedure. You may resume work immediately. We will provide you with a surgical cap to be worn after the procedure.
GFC is safe and minimally invasive. There is no risk of infection/allergy when the procedure is performed by a qualified dermatologist. Following minor side effects may occur which are short lasting and manageable with medicines.
We usually advise 4-6 sessions spaced monthly for effective results. You may also take a maintenance session once in 3-4 months.
The cost of a GFC treatment session ranges from 6000 to 8000 INR per session, based on the quality of the kit used. There are also packages available at our clinic for the full 6 months treatment plan.
